It's important to note that before you start batching your content you should have a clear understanding of your target markets needs so that your content is tailored correctly. Below, are a few examples of the different types of content you can start to use batching with in your marketing campaigns.

Video Marketing

To begin with, batching videos for productivity is one of my favorite topics because when I first started using video marketing it was so time consuming. There was so much filming, scripting, and editing and I loved recording videos but I often put it off because it took so much of my time

On the other hand, when you set up blocked hours of time to record your videos you can create three to five videos in a day and even more if you're feeling extra ambitious. Now, I look forward to the days where I get to record marketing videos because I know it doesn't mean that I have to give up a huge chunk of each of my days. Instead, I can do everything in one to two days and with laser focus which in turn frees up the rest of the week to do more important things.

The first step in batching and blogging is to brain storm on a few topic ideas for the post you'd like to create. Make sure your topics are based on subjects that your target market will find valuable. Afterwards, you can start doing your keyword research for each of the topics. If any of this sounds foreign to you, you might enjoy one of my previous post on blogging.

The next step is to write out draft blog posts. In this step, I usually try to write as freely as I can because I know I will fix  any mistakes later. Afterwards, you can use a batch of time to focus on gathering all of the images for your post. You can purchase high quality images on Canva for a dollar each or you could use free stock photos from several different sources on the web such as Pixabay or Pexels. Lastly, you can go back and revise each of your blog post.

Social Media

As the saying goes, "content is king," and everyone should be trying to stay connected in marketing. However, having to keep up with each social media platform can be overwhelming and that's where batching can help!

First, start by categorizing your social media post. For instance, some common things you might post on Facebook would be blog posts, quotes, other peoples content, promos, and maybe tips. The next step is create numerous post all in one sitting. There are many programs online such as Hootsuite that are built to help you schedule post automatically. The last step is deciding how often you'd like your post to go out.

Also you can even use batching in your social media interactions. In other words, you can set aside a specific amount of time each day that is dedicated solely to engaging organically with others in social media.  When you use batching for your interactions you are less likely to get distracted by everything else that is around you.

Why Should You Use Batching?

In conclusion, batching is a great productivity secret to content creation in marketing because you are reserving a specific amount of time to do your work. You focus on completing one task rather than trying to do twenty different things all at one time and you sort of streamline your actions and thoughts thereby getting much more done, In time, you will not only get better at content creation but you'll also get better at using batching as a secret ninja marketing technique.
